notes: #14-Stewart reports he is down in power and the team is checking the engine, could be down a cylinder, which would mean an engine change and having to go to the rear of the field on Sunday, giving up the 5th starting spot. Stewart went back on the track towards the end of the practice as the team didn’t find anything obvious, but after a lap Stewart brought the car back in
17 minutes into practice, #16-Biffle lost it and slid thru the front stretch grass, only minor damage reported.
