#82-Scott Speed was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the October 4 Price Chopper 400 at Kansas Speedway. Speed scored a 27th-place finish and took top rookie honors for the seventh time this season and for the second consecutive race. #20-Joey Logano leads Scott Speed by 23 points (218-195) in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the October 11 Pepsi 500 at Auto Club Speedway. All three members of the 2009 Raybestos Rookie class have scored at least one top-10 finish. A Raybestos Rookie has finished in the top-five in three of the five previous fall races at Auto Club Speedway. Brian Vickers (2004) is the only Raybestos Rookie to win a pole in five previous fall races at Auto Club Speedway. Kyle Busch became the first Raybestos Rookie to win at Auto Club Speedway when he captured the 2005 Pepsi 500. Busch scored his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory by .554 seconds over Greg Biffle.
