UPDATE: NASCAR officials pulled Joey Logano’s father’s credential after he confronted Greg Biffle on Saturday following the Nationwide Series race. A NASCAR spokesman said Tom Logano walked up to Biffle’s car on pit road and had a verbal altercation with the driver. Biffle and Joey Logano tangled earlier in the race, with Biffle putting Logano’s #20 Toyota into the wall, a move Biffle hinted at over the radio beforehand. Joey Logano came back to win the race while Biffle finished 14th.Joe Gibbs Racing president J.D. Gibbs said he had no immediate knowledge of the event. UPDATE 2: Tom Logano was back at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday to watch his son race in the Pepsi 500 a day after having his credential pulled following a run-in with driver Greg Biffle. Tom Logano was able to attend the race after applying for a single-event pass. He had the pass tucked into his shirt pocket while talking to Joey shortly before the race but had no comment on the incident as he made his way to a viewing box above pit road. Joe Gibbs Racing president J.D. Gibbs said Tom Logano was apologetic while talking to team officials. “There was an issue on pit road and NASCAR addressed it,” Gibbs said. “He went and talked to the guy at NASCAR (Joe Balash) yesterday.
