Jeanne Perrault is 68 years old but you would never tell talking to her. Her passion for what is right and true burns as strong today as it almost did 50 years ago. Since 1961, she has been fighting for the rights and conditions of Sergeants in the Air Force here and abroad. In 1970 she created the world’s first Auxiliary and found that a woman’s touch was greatly needed in ensuring that our troops were being treated fairly with regards to Health Benefits, Pay rates and overall operating conditions by those passing laws in Congress. The Air Force Sergeants Association Auxiliary (AFSA) was once a 200 woman force which has now dwindled to four and in jeopardy of closing its doors for good. For her decades long fight and selfless acts giving back to her community, Perrault has been named an ‘ExtenZe Local Hero’ and will serve as Honorary Crew Chief for the leading NASCAR Cup Series Rookie of the Year driver Kevin Conway and his ExtenZe Racing team at the upcoming Dover International Raceway NASCAR Sprint Cup weekend. n addition to the $1,000 prize for being selected the ExtenZe Racing Local Hero, ExtenZe Racing Driver Kevin Conway is going to lead a membership drive where local women with a burning desire to make a difference can sign up and learn more about how they can be a part of Jeanne Perrault’s legacy. The ‘ExtenZe Local Hero’ program pays tribute to people who have gone to great lengths to make a difference. Those selected have faced danger, sacrificed their own safety for others or in some way displayed leadership that changed their community for the better. Award recipients become ExtenZe Racing Honorary Crew Chiefs, receive a tour of the paddock, attend the pre-race NASCAR Driver/Crew Chief meeting, and sit atop the pit box with Crew Chief Peter Sospenzo to root on rookie driver Kevin Conway piloting the royal blue and red #37 ExtenZe Ford Fusion. Each recipient also receives a $1,000 award from ExtenZe, the world’s best selling male enhancement product, in recognition of their selflessness.(Breaking Limits)(5-16-2010)
