SPEED to Televise Legends Million at Charlotte Motor Speedway:

  • Charlotte Motor Speedway officials announced a new television agreement with SPEED today for coverage of the Legends Million, the largest grassroots race in history, taking place at the track July 15-17. SPEED’s national telecast will air Saturday, July 17, from 8:00 pm to 11:00pm/et. The program will include live coverage of the 100-lap A-Main feature and taped highlights from Thursday and Friday night’s action. U.S. Legend Cars International and Charlotte Motor Speedway announced the inaugural Legends Million earlier this year. The biggest Legend Car race ever, the Legends Million is a one-of-a-kind grassroots event featuring a total purse of $1 million with the A-Main winner guaranteed to take home an unprecedented $250,000.     AND: Veteran motor sports broadcaster Dave Despain, whose popular Sunday night show, Wind Tunnel, airs milestone episode No. 500 in November, will host SPEED’s live and exclusive coverage of the inaugural Legends Million from Charlotte Motor Speedway on July 17 at 7:30 pm/et. Competitors who register for the Legends Million must register in one of three divisions: Young Lions/Semi-Pro, Masters or The Legends Million, which is open to all drivers. Each division will run heat races and an A-Main race, with the Legends Million A-Feature serving as the grand finale of the three-day event.
