ESPN2s live telecast of the NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Montreal on Sunday, Aug. 29, earned a final national household coverage rating of 1.7, a six percent increase over the 1.6 rating for last years race that also aired on ESPN2, according to the Nielsen Company. The telecast averaged 2,327,755 viewers. The Montreal race has seen ratings and viewership growth in all four years of its existence. Six of the last nine Nationwide Series races have seen ratings growth over the corresponding event last year, while the other three were even.(ESPN)(9-7-2010)
