Since July 25, 1991, Reverend Jim McWilliams has led the efforts to locate his missing nephew, Charles ‘ÂArlin Henderson. Even after the FBI and other agencies let the case go cold, he and his family are still out there looking. Arlin, 11 years old at the time, was last seen riding his BMX bike near his Moscow Hills, Mo. home heading to a friends house. His bike was later discovered October 10, 1991 almost 10 miles from his home. Since then, there have been few leads that point to where Arlin might be or what happened to him but that hasnt slowed down Reverend McWilliams and his family in their search.
For Reverend McWilliams tireless efforts in keeping his nephews missing person case in the minds of the public and for being a counselor to many in need, as well as helping other families who have experienced the same fate of having a child or family member abducted, he has been named an ‘ÂExtenZe Local Hero and will serve as an Honorary Crew Chief for NASCARs leading Sprint Cup Series Rookie-of-the-Year driver Kevin Conway and the ExtenZe racing team for this weekends Price Chopper 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway.
Reverend McWilliams has also helped counsel the families of and participated in the search efforts for Bianca Piper, Sean Hornbeck, and Ben Owneby (the latter two were found.) He rejoiced when Jaycee Dugard was found alive in August of 2009 after being abducted around the same time his nephew Arlin was abducted. The news of Dugard energized his efforts to keep the hope animate that Arlin is still out there somewhere alive as well. A standing $10,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the Arlin case is still in effect. For anyone that has information that can help in this case should contact the local FBI of Kansas City & Missouri or call 1-800-THE LOST or Reverend Jim McWilliams at 314-807-2100. Conways #7 ExtenZe Toyota will carry the images of Arlin and this information on the deck lid this weekend.
