#48-Jimmie Johnson has yet to win a race at Michigan International Speedway in 18 Cup race appearances. In fact, MIS is just one of four Sprint Cup Series tracks overall that he has not won at, a list which also includes Chicago, Homestead and Watkins Glen. MIS is the only track left on the list that hosts two Sprint Cup race a year. Michigan: 0 for 18 with a best finish of 3rd in 8/2007
Watkins Glen: 0 for 9 with a best finish of 3rd in 8/2007
Chicago: 0 for 9 with a best finish of 2nd in 7/2004 & 7/2008
Homestead: 0 for 10 with a best finish of 2nd in 11/2004 & 11/2010
plus Johnson ran five races at Rockingham Speedway and didn’t win there.(6-14-2011)
