This is his series-leading sixth pole in 20 races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Newman also won the pole at New Hampshire in July, becoming the second driver to sweep the pole at the track (Ken Schrader, 1997).
Kasey Kahne (second) posted his 14th top-10 start of 2011 and his fifth in 16 races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
