Qualifying Moves Back To Friday at Martinsville Speedway:

Qualifying for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway will return to Friday this fall. Time trials for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 will be held at 3:40 pm on Friday, October 26. The Sprint Cup cars will have a 90-minute practice session beginning at 12noon on October 26. There will be two Sprint Cup practice sessions on Saturday, October 27, the first at 9:30 am and the final practice at 12noon. For the past two Sprint Cup races at Martinsville, qualifying had been conducted on Saturday. The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will continue with its traditional Saturday morning qualifying, scheduled for 10:35 am on Saturday October 27. The trucks will have two practice sessions on Friday, one at 11 am and the final at 2:10 pm. The Kroger 200 will take the green flag at 2 pm on Saturday, October 27 while the TUMS Fast Relief 500 is set for the green at 1:30 pm on Sunday, October 28. To help kick Martinsville Speedway’s 65th anniversary celebration into high gear heading into the TUMS Fast Relief 500 on October 28, the track is offering fans an anniversary special. For $65, fans may purchase prime seats for the TUMS Fast Relief 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup race and receive a free pre-race track walk on race morning that will get them a close look at pit road as they walk along the front stretch of the historic track.
