Teams in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will run the same combination of left- and right-side tires at Indianapolis this week . . . this is the same tire set-up that Sprint Cup teams ran at IMS last year . . . in fact, this left-side tire code has been run at this track since 2010 . . . these teams also ran this left-side code at Phoenix earlier this season . . . this right-side tire code is unique to Indianapolis . . . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at IMS . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
Goodyear will donate one dollar for every tire sold at participating Goodyear dealers in the U.S. from July 1 until August 31, up to $250,000, to benefit Support Our Troops. McMurray and Montoya, along with many other NSCS drivers signed a Goodyear tire that will be up for auction to raise funds for Support Our Troops.
