#1-Jamie McMurray confirmed Saturday that he has signed a contract extension with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing for 2013. ‘I ‘m set for here,’ McMurray said after qualifying at Watkins Glen International. ‘It’s done. I haven ‘t really made a big deal about it. Drivers take different approaches to that. Some like all the publicity taking about. I don ‘t. & But everything is set for next year and I ‘m excited to be back here.’ McMurray didn ‘t say how long his extension runs, but he apparently didn ‘t test the free-agent market. Ganassi officials would not confirm nor deny that McMurray signed an extension. It is Ganassi policy not to comment on contracts.(Sporting News)(8-12-2012)
