The Armed Forces Foundation and NASCAR continue the 2013 Troops to the Track program on Sunday, July 28th, by bringing service members of the 76th Brigade Combat Team from the Indiana Army National Guard. The primary mission of the Infantry battalion is to close with the enemy by means of fire and maneuver. In addition to its primary war fighting mission, the Infantry battalion might be tasked to perform other types of operations, including stability operations and civil support operations, semi independently or as an integral part of a larger force. The Predator Battalion traces its rich heritage back before Indiana actually became a State. Born from the militia companies that mustered on the banks of the Ohio River in times of crisis, the battalion has since continually served with pride and distinction. Always there, ready to serve, exemplifying the true spirit of the citizen soldier. This unit has been deployed to Bosnia, Iraq, and Afghanistan. 2013 season of Troops to the Track, a program in which service members are treated to a daylong interactive at-track experience, which includes: a special invitation and recognition at the drivers pre-race meeting, a private tour of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage, pit road access during driver introductions / National Anthem and special seating in the grandstands.
