Bristol Goodyear Tire Notes:

Teams in all three NASCAR series in action at Bristol this week will run the same Goodyear tire codes, though the Sprint Cup and Nationwide tires will be branded ‘Goodyear Eagle’ while the Camping World Truck tires will be branded ‘Goodyear Wrangler” . . . for Sprint Cup teams, this is the same combination of left- and right-side tires they have run in the last two races at Bristol . . . Nationwide teams also ran this same combination at Bristol earlier this season . . . both Nationwide and Camping World Truck teams ran this right-side tire code with a different left-side code at Bristol in 2012 . . . this being Truck teams first Bristol race on this left-side tire code, it features both compound and construction changes compared to last seasons left-side and will give the trucks more grip . . . unlike on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, on which teams generally do not run inner liners in their tires, teams are required to run liners in their right-side tires only at Bristol . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire (Goodyear), see full notes, tire codes, tire pressures on the Bristol Race Info – Goodyear section .
