Ida ‘Geneva” Mohamet Key, 78, of Cypress Place, Chesapeake, VA, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013. Born in Norfolk, VA, she was a retired Office Manager for Curtis Key Plumbing Contractors, Inc. She was a member of Atlantic Shores Baptist Church. Ida ‘Geneva” is survived by her three sons, Alex Rowe of Florida, Raymond J. J. Key, Jr., and [Nationwide Series owner] Curtis W. Key, Sr., both of Chesapeake, VA; one daughter, Geneva Lamb of Portsmouth, VA; two sisters, Yvonne Poole of Nevada and Silvia Mowery of Virginia Beach, VA; eleven grandchildren, Tonya, Tressa, Amber, Hunter, Jason, Josh, Brittney, Leonard, Richard, Curtis and Kyle; and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel.
