Juan Pablo Montoya, driver of the #42 Target Chevy, was honored September 5th by the Hispanic Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C. The 26th annual Hispanic Heritage Awards took place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and was a ceremony to celebrate Hispanic cultural pride, contributions and accomplishments. The awards were established in 1987 by President Ronald Regan to commemorate the creation of Hispanic Heritage Month. Since its creation, the awards honor top Latino leaders in various categories for their impact on America and the world. Montoya received an award for sports and was joined by eight other honorees. Target was the presenting sponsor of the awards ceremony and the television broadcast. A one-hour special of the awards will be broadcast on MundoFOX on Sunday, Sept. 15 at 6:00pm/et.(EGR)
