The National Weather Service forecast for Sunday at Chicagland Speedway does not look good. It now calls for showers, mainly after 10am/ct with a high near 68. The overall chance of precipitation is 100%. Chances drop to 80% tonight. The hourly forecast calls for a steady chance of rain through the afternoon and evening. AND: Due to the forecast, NASCAR has move up the command to start engines to 2:01pm/ct and the green flag is now scheduled for 2:10pm/et.(9-15-2013) UPDATE: Rain fell at the track from about 12:30-2:00pm/et. Jet dryers then worked to dry the track. Pre-race ceremonies were completed about 3:20pm/et. Engines were fired at 3:29pm/et and the race went green at 3:40pm/et. There will be a competition caution on lap 30. Theres another band of rain about 2 hours west of the track.
