The Armed Forces Foundation and NASCAR will conclude the 2013 Troops to the Track TM program on Sunday, November 17th, by bringing service members assigned to the Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH) to the Ford EcoBoost 400. SOCSOUTH is a joint (military members from all four services) Special Operations headquarters that plans and executes special operations in Central & South America and the Caribbean, principally employing Special Operations Forces provided by U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the Services Special Operations Forces (SOF) component commands and its command vision is to enhancing security and stability in the Americas with our interagency partners and partner nations by establishing an in depth networked defense that will detect, deter, disrupt, and defeat illicit transnational elements. 2013 season of Troops to the Track, a program in which service members are treated to a daylong interactive at-track experience, which includes: a special invitation and recognition at the drivers pre-race meeting, a private tour of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series garage, pit road access during driver introductions / National Anthem and special seating in the grandstands.(AFF)
