ESPN s live telecast of the Ford EcoBoost 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday, Nov. 17, the final race of the season, earned a 3.1 U.S. household rating, averaging 5,118,577 viewers, according to Nielsen Media. The rating and audience were up from last year s race, which earned a 3.0 U.S. household rating and averaged 4,769,427 viewers. Greensboro, N.C., was the highest-rated market in the nation with a 10.3 rating for the race telecast, followed by Greenville, S.C., at 8.6 and Norfolk, Va., at 6.9. Charlotte, N.C., was fourth at 6.7 and Knoxville, Tenn., fifth at 6.3. The rest of the top 10 markets were Nashville, Tenn., and Orlando, Fla., at 6.2, Indianapolis at 5.8, Raleigh-Durham, N.C., at 5.4 and Richmond, Va., at 5.2.
