#31-Ben Kennedy won the pole for Friday night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway after rain forced qualifying to be canceled. The field was set based on combined practice times. #30-Ron Hornaday, Jr. will start second, followed by: #29-Ryan Blaney, #88-Matt Crafton, #21-Joey Coulter, #5-John Wes Townley, #51-Kyle Busch, #92-Ross Chastain, #98-Johnny Sauter, and #19-Tyler Reddick. 38 trucks entered the event but the #60 withdrew, leaving #40-Todd Peck the only driver to miss the field.
