NTS Motorsports, Rick Ware Racing team up for Daytona:

NTS Motorsports and Scott Lagasse, Jr. announce their partnership with Rick Ware Racing for the upcoming NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) race at Daytona International Speedway. The #15 Chevy will be sponsored by Alert Today Florida/Boy Scouts of America with Lagasse behind the wheel. The Subway Firecracker 250 will be NTS Motorsports’ first NXS race of 2015. The team competed in three events in the series in 2014 with Brennan Newberry in the driver’s seat. NTS Motorsports competition director Chris Rice will serve as crew chief for the #15 Alert Today Florida/Boy Scouts of America Chevy. “We’re thrilled to partner with Rick Ware Racing and to have Scott Lagasse, Jr. behind the wheel for what is arguably one of the most anticipated and exciting events of the season,” said NTS Motorsports team owner Bob Newberry. “The NASCAR XFINITY Series has produced some really good racing in 2015, and Daytona always puts on a show. I can’t think of anything more exciting than NTS Motorsports and Rick Ware Racing bringing home a win on the Fourth of July.”
Lagasse has one NXS start this year, having competed in the season-opening event at Daytona in February. Lagasse also competed with NTS Motorsports in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event at the 2.5-mile superspeedway earlier this year, finishing third. Lagasse has a total of seven previous NXS starts at Daytona International Speedway, with a best finish of 18th at the track.
“It is always an honor to promote and partner with Alert Today Florida,” said Lagasse. “This campaign raises awareness for bicyclists, pedestrians and motorists. As an avid cyclist, I am proud to take part in helping spread this safety message. My goal is to get everyone to just take a couple extra seconds to think about the safety of others while on the road. I’m looking forward to working with Rick Ware Racing and NTS Motorsports. I had a great run with NTS Motorsports in the [NASCAR Camping World] Truck Series race in February, and I’m hoping that we can close the deal when we return.”(NTS Motorsports), see an image of the scheme on the‚ #15 Team Schemes page.(6-24-2015)
