Dibenedetto wins charity event:

It has become a tradition for the Outlaw Speedway dirt oval in Dundee, NY to host a match race featuring some of the drivers competing in this weekend’s Cheez-It 355 at The Glen. This year’s ninth annual Michael McDowell MRO Night to benefit Motor Racing Outreach was won by Matt Dibenedetto. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series racer bested Xfinity Series driver and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Ryan Preece in the 12-lap race on the four-tenths of a mile clay oval. Kevin White, part of Dibenedetto’s #83 BK Racing team, was third, followed by Fox Sports broadcaster and veteran NASCAR/dirt track racer Kenny Wallace. JJ Yeley, the 2010 winner of the event, was fifth. McDowell, the 2011 and 2013 winner, was sixth in the nine-car field. A silent auction for MRO was also held that offered many driver-autographed items and a chance to bid on Brad Keselowski’s winner’s trophy from the 2014 Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.(Elmiria Star Gazette)
