Monday forecast at Pocono:

The weather forecast for Monday at Pocono Raceway calls for the possibility of more rain, although primarily in the afternoon. According to the National Weather Service:
Monday – A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Light and variable wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms..
According to NASCAR_WXMAN’˜s forecast at SB Nation, ‘Unfortunately for NASCAR the same weather pattern that kept Pocono wet on Sunday could bring more rain to the region on Monday. The earlier start time for the race (11:00am/et) should help NASCAR avoid some of the weather. That’s if we don’t have too much of an issue with fog, mist and morning rain. The odds of starting Monday’s Pennsylvania 400 and making it official (at least halfway) is around 55 to 65 percent. Widespread scattered showers and storms are possible as we head into the afternoon on Monday. That is why my focus is getting to halfway then any laps after that in my opinion are bonus. Odds of getting a complete race in at Pocono Raceway on Monday is between 40 to 50 percent.’
