The selections of pit stalls for the Pure Michigan 400 Sprint Cup Series race at Michigan International Speedway have been made.
With the field downsized to 40 cars, three pit stalls (41,42,43) have been eliminated, are not in play and don’t count towards driving through more than three pit boxes.
Pole sitter #22-Logano took pit stall 1 [as do most pole sitters].
Outside pole sitter #48-Johnson, Jr. took pit stall 40, the final pit stall.
#11-Hamlin, who starts 3rd took the 23rd pit stall, the first stall with an opening in front of it (not counting #1 stall).
The final pit stall (40th) was taken by #48-Johnson, starts 2nd.
