Fans will enjoy a full weekend lineup of entertainment for the Can-Am 500 race weekend at Phoenix Raceway, Nov. 11-13. This fall will feature a new post-race Phoenix Raceway After Dark show with Christopher Shayne on Friday, Nov. 11. PIR mainstays like Harry Luge and METALHEAD will return to Busch Garage all weekend long, while NASCAR’s favorite DJ Michaelis will be back to add his unique spin on driver introductions before the Can-Am 500 on Sunday, Nov. 13. Famous for deconstructing popular music, PIR fans know DJ Michaelis for putting his own twist on the traditional driver introductions before the NASCAR Sprint Cup races. Arizona’s own Christopher Shayne will highlight Friday’s entertainment as he will be performing a post-race concert at the Fan Midway stage immediately following the Lucas Oil 150 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Semi-Final Race on Nov. 11. Prior to the Can-Am 500, multiplatinum rock band Hinder will also be performing a free concert for any fan with a grandstand ticket. Race weekend entertainment officially kicks off at the Busch Garage with The Crown Kings on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7:00pm. Hitting the Busch Garage on Thursday night, Harry Luge will take the stage at 9:00pm and will also close out the weekend at Busch Garage with a performance on Saturday night. Georgia Chrome will light up the stage at the Busch Garage on Friday. Also performing at the Busch Garage on Friday will be Arizona’s original and best hair band rock show, METALHEAD. Returning to PIR, the local Donny Grubb Band will kick off Saturday evening at Busch Garage with a concert starting at 7:00pm.(PIR)(10-18-2016)
