All-new Ford F-150 Raptor Will Pace NASCAR Sprint Cup Finale:

The highly-anticipated 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor has been selected to pace the Ford EcoBoost 400, the final race of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season during Ford Championship Weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Nov. 20. A Lightning Blue F-150 SuperCrew Raptor will lead the field to the green flag for the championship-deciding Sprint Cup Series race on the 1.5-mile track. An Oxford White F-150 Raptor SuperCab will serve as the splitter vehicle and back up vehicle for NASCAR’s championship race. The Ford F-150 Raptor pace vehicle is equipped with a second-generation twin-turbo, intercooled DOHC 24-valve, high-output 3.5L EcoBoostengine with direct fuel injection.
Red and orange Mustang GT350s will pace the Ford EcoBoost 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race on Nov. 19. A Lightning Blue F-150 STX SuperCab and a Ruby Red F-150 Platinum SuperCrew will be the pace vehicles for the Nov. 18 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Ford EcoBoost 200 race.
Ford has used its Ford Championship Weekend entitlement as an opportunity to showcase many of its newest cars and trucks as pace vehicles throughout the years, including vehicles such as Fusion Hybrid, Bullitt Mustang, F-150 Foose Edition, 50th Anniversary Mustang, Police Interceptors and the lead Mustang from the movie ‘Need for Speed.’(Ford), see an image of the pace truck on the Ford News & Links page.
