      • Pit Stall Selections: The selections of pit stalls for the Auto Club 400 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race at Auto Club Speedway have been made.
        With the field downsized to 40 cars and only 39 cars entered, five pit stalls (33,41,42,43,44) have been eliminated, are not in play and don’t count towards driving through more than three pit boxes.
        Pole sitter #42-Larson chose pit stall 1, the first stall available [as do most pole sitters].
        Outside pole sitter #11-Hamlin, Jr. took pit stall 2, right behind #42-Larson.
        #2-Keslowski, who starts 3rd, took stall 12A, the next with an opening in front of it
        The final pit stall (stall 40) was taken by #78-Truex Jr., who starts 4th.

      • Johnson working on contract extension: #48-Jimmie Johnson was asked about the status of his contract during his media availability on Friday at Auto Club Speedway. “We are always talking and working on the details.       • Kurt Busch files countersuit against agent: Kurt Busch has filed a countersuit against former agent Jon Caponigro, whose firm sued Busch for $1.4 million for unpaid and future fees after Busch terminated the deal last year. Busch, in a court filing Friday, said he had paid Caponigro’s firm $1.3 million since 2011 and is asking to be awarded “millions” in damages.[More](3-25-2017)
      • Larson wins Auto Club XFINITY race: #42-Kyle Larson won the Service King 300 at Auto Club Speedway. It is his sixth XFINITY Series win and first of the year. Pole-sitter #22-Joey Logano finished second after leading a race-high 70 laps, followed by #18-Kyle Busch, #20-Erik Jones, #9-William Byron, #6-Darrell Wallace, Jr., #1-Elliott Sadler, #48-Brennan Poole, #7-Justin Allgaier, and #3-Ty Dillon.
        There were seven cautions for 43 laps and 18 lead changes among 6 leaders.
        The average speed was 116.883 mph.
