  • Another item from the LTN Radio show: Rich Bickle will drive the #17 TJ Motorsports Chevy(former DW owned team) in the Cup race at Martinsville on 4/19(LTNRadio)(4-2-98) Nope, he may drive the #98
  • Former Hendrick Motorsports crew chief, Gary DeHart served as a consultant for the #4 Kodak Max Chevy Morgan-McClure team at Texas this weekend(NASCAR Today Radio)(4-2-98)
  • I hear Greg Sacks and crew chief Mike Hillman are on the hot seat at Cale Yarborough Motorsports in the #98 Thorn Apple Valley Ford(LTNRadio)(4-2-98)
  • Practice on Thursday had Jeremy Mayfield fastest at 184.312mph, see the practice results on NASCAR Online. Jerry Nadeau hit the wall hard in the #13 First Plus Ford during the first practice and was transported to the hospital for x-ray’s. The Elliott-Marino got the back-up car out and Bobby Hillin replaced Nadeau in the #13 for Thursday’s second practice. Nadeau is expected to be back in the car for Friday’s
    qualifying. Ernie Irvan and Kenny Irwin, Jr both brushed the wall in morning practice but their crews were able to repair the cars for the second practice and both were fast.(NASCAR Today Radio)(4-2-98)
