- The #35 BGN Pontiac, Team Amick Motorsports is cutting back it’s BGN racing schedule in 1998 with driver Lyndon Amick. They had planned to run a full BGN schedule in 1998. Plans are to run approximately 15 more events.(NASCAR Online)(5-4-98)
- Bill Elliott was taken to Loma Linda Medical Center after his second bad crash in as many weeks, where he received two stitches for a cut on his chin. He had minor fractures in his left foot and left hand, and bruises on his back and stomach, his spokeswoman said. - NASCAR would like to see GM’s Monte Carlo on the track some time soon, but Chevrolet officials say they’re not that far along in development. NASCAR sources say that the Monte Carlo might not debut at Daytona next year after all, but rather later in the season.(JournalNow)(5-4-98)
