Talladega penalties: Jeff Meendering hit with fine for missing lug nut

Jeff Meendering, crew chief for Chandler Smith, was slapped with a $5,000 fine for having a lug nut not properly installed at the conclusion of Saturday’s United Rentals 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Smith finished the race in fifth, his fifth consecutive top-five finish.
