Amazon Prime San Diego TV ratings UPDATE

UPDATE:  Prime Video concluded its second season of exclusive NASCAR Cup Series coverage with an average of 2.28 million viewers during Sunday’s historic race at Naval Base Coronado, where coverage originated from the bridge and flight deck of the famed USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier. Even though three of its five 2026 race broadcasts were impacted by weather, NASCAR on Prime averaged 2.29 million viewers this season, earning a solid +6% increase vs. last year’s Nielsen Big Data + Panel average. The strong growth trajectory is tops among NASCAR’s 2026 media partners and continues a viewership pattern that Prime Video is establishing across its portfolio of live sports measured by Nielsen, echoing the year-over-year gains that Thursday Night Football has achieved since moving exclusively to Prime in 2022.

The commitment to delivering fans a premium experience was evident throughout the season, with uninterrupted green-flag coverage from start to finish, extended commercial-free racing to close each event, AI-powered broadcast enhancements like “Burn Bar,” and extensive pre- and post-race shows featuring NASCAR legends and current drivers. Similar to the race coverage gains, Prime’s wraparound NASCAR Live From and NASCAR Live From Victory Lane shows averaged 791K and 1.00M respectively throughout 2026, up +5% and +8% vs. last year’s full-season averages.

Additionally, Prime Video’s live sports coverage continues to attract younger and more affluent audiences than linear channels. NASCAR on Prime’s 2026 coverage delivered an audience median age that was more than 5 years younger than fans watching on cable and broadcast, and the youngest among any NASCAR distributor since last season’s NASCAR Cup Series coverage on Prime. At the same time, Prime’s viewership in the P55+ demo grew +12% vs. last year’s season average.
