Kyle Busch gets birthday present with a win at Kansas: Perhaps it was birthday fate. When the name of the race is the Buschy McBusch Race 400, your name is Kyle Busch and it’s your 36th birthday – you have to figure there’s some serious racing juju in your favor. And Busch took advantage of it. Busch’s No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota took the lead on a restart with two laps remaining and held off the field by .336-seconds Sunday at Kansas Speedway to give him his first NASCAR Cup Series win of the season – 58th of his career – and his new crew chief Ben Beshore the first win of his career.[Read More](5-2-2021)

#18-Kyle Busch won the Buschy McBusch Race 400 NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway. The win is his 1st win of the year, 2nd win at Kansas and 58th career win.
#4-Harvick finished 2nd followed by pole sitter #2-Keselowski, #21-DiBenedetto, #9-Elliott, #19-Truex, Jr., #8-Reddick, #17-Buescher, #24-Byron and #3-Dillon.
Busch won for the second time on his birthday (the first was Richmond in May 2009).  He joins Cale Yarborough as the only Cup driver to have won more than once on their birthday.
He took the lead on a restart with 10 laps to go and maintained the lead through a late caution.
#5-Larson dominated much of the race, leading 132 laps, but lost the lead late, then made contact with #12-Blaney on the final restart and fell back to a 19th place finish.
Stage 1 was won by #18-Busch. Stage 2 was won by #5-Larson.
There were 18 lead changes among 6 drivers and 7 cautions for 36 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 129.647mph.
