Kyle Busch steals a milestone victory in wild race on Bristol Dirt: Kyle Busch has a special fondness for Bristol Motor Speedway, but the driver of the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota needed a huge stroke of luck on Sunday night to rekindle his love affair with the half-mile track. Busch won the Food City Dirt Race from a distant third place after the Ford of second-place Chase Briscoe slid up the high-banked dirt track into the Chevrolet of leader Tyler Reddick in the final corner, turning both cars sideways. #18-Kyle Busch won the Food City Dirt Race NASCAR Cup Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway. The win is his 1st win of the year, 9th at Bristol Motor Speedway and 60th career win.
#8-Reddick finished 2nd followed by #22-Logano, #5-Larson, #12-Blaney, #48-Bowman, #20-Bell, #9-Elliott, #34-McDowell, and #42-Larson.
#8-Reddick was leading #14-Briscoe at the white flag and looked to be on the way to his first career win.  However, Briscoe dive-bombed Reddick trying to take the lead and got loose, spinning them both out.  Busch, who was running more than 2 seconds back, was able to beat Reddick to the finish line by .3 second.
The race was red flagged twice for rain – once at the conclusion of stage 2 and again with less than 30 laps remaining.
Pole winner #41-Custer pitted on lap 11 under green with mud on the grill and lost a lap. He was able to get back on the lead lap and finished 13th.
Stage 1 was won by #5-Larson. Stage 2 was won by #14-Briscoe.
There were 6 lead changes among 5 drivers and 14 cautions for 82 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 34.973mph.
