Getting redemption from the last two trips to Martinsville Speedway, #54-Taylor Gray won the IAA and Ritchie Bros. 250 Xfinity Series race to earn his first series victory. It’s his first NASCAR national touring series win.
#8-Sammy Smith finished runner-up, coming up just short of winning his way through to the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway. #20-Brandon Jones, also in a must-win, placed third, with #00-Sheldon Creed and #19-Aric Almirola rounding out the top five.
#27-Jeb Burton placed sixth, with #41-Sam Mayer, #26-Dean Thompson, #88-Connor Zilisch and #18-Justin Bonsignore filling out the rest of the top 10.
#7-Justin Allgaier led 37 laps and won the opening stage but finished 26th. #1-Carson Kvapil won Stage 2, but a late spin dropped him to 18th in the finishing order. #2-Jesse Love was the only other playoff driver to finish outside the top 10 (23rd).
#88-Zilisch, #7-Allgaier, #2-Love and #1-Kvapil qualified for the Championship 4.
There were 11 lead changes among nine drivers and nine cautions for 71 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 63.120 mph.

Lap 253: #54-Gray hangs on for the victory, getting redemption from the spring race. #8-Smith, #20-Jones, #00-Creed, #19-Almirola, #27-Burton, #41-Mayer, #26-Thompson, #88-Zilisch and #18-Bonsignore complete the top 10.
Lap 245: #20-Jones takes second position from #8-Smith. #10-Dye wrecks to bring out the caution.
Lap 239: #19-Almirola gets loose entering Turn 1 and moves up the track, allowing #20-Jones to take third position. #1-Kvapil moves #31-Perkins and #32-Green out of the race to move to the current cutline.
Lap 233: #54-Gray clears for the lead on the restart. #8-Smith is battling with #19-Almirola for second position.

  • This weekend marks the 45th running of a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway.
  • Connor Zilisch and Justin Allgaier have already clinched spots in Championship 4 based on points.
  • Jesse Love needs to score 28 points to clinch a Championship 4 spot on points.
  • If a non-Playoff driver wins Saturday, this will be the first year since 2016 that no Playoff drivers won in the Round of 8.
