In a wild final stage, #7-Justin Allgaier won the Dead On Tools 250 Xfinity Series race at Martinsville Speedway to lock himself into the Championship 4 battle. Richard Childress Racing teammates #21-Austin Hill and #2-Sheldon Creed got into one another in the final set of corners, allowing Allgaier to get by for the win. It’s his fourth victory of the season.
#2-Creed finished runner-up, coming up .032 seconds shy of advancing to the Championship 4. #18-Sammy Smith led a race-high 147 laps and finished third. #98-Riley Herbst and #8-Josh Berry rounded out the top five.
#10-Daniel Hemric finished sixth, with #31-Parker Retzlaff, #78-Anthony Alfredo, #27-Jeb Burton and #48-Parker Kligerman filling out the top 10.
#21-Hill dropped to 21st in the finishing order and failed to qualify for the Championship 4. #20-John Hunter Nemechek was involved in the final wreck and finished 18th but locked into the championship race following the second stage. #00-Cole Custer also piled in to the wreck, but finished ahead of Hill to take the fourth spot.
#7-Allgaier won the opening stage, his 13th stage victory of the season. #18-Smith claimed the second stage.
There were 13 lead changes among eight drivers and 15 cautions for 101 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was 55.294 mph.
