#4-John Hunter Nemechek won the NC Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday night. The win is his first at Charlotte, third of the season, and ninth of his career. He also scored an additional $50,000 with the win, courtesy the Triple Truck Challenge.
#42-Carson Hocevar scored a career-best second place finish.
#99-Ben Rhodes, #52-Stewart Friesen, pole-sitter #38-Todd Gilliland, and #18-Chandler Smith finished in positions three through six.
#66-Ty Majeski, in his first of two scheduled races with ThorSport Racing, finished seventh.
#19-Derek Kraus, #16-Austin Hill, and #21-Zane Smith closed out the top-10.
#2-Sheldon Creed won stage 1. He was later involved in an accident and failed to finish the race. #21-Zane Smith won stage 2.
#14-Trey Hutchens and #13-Johnny Sauter were involved in a jaw-dropping wreck on lap 115. Hutchens slowed on 115 after cutting a tire and #13-Sauter slammed into his slowed machine, obliterating both race trucks. Both drivers were unscathed. #4-Nemechek’s windshield and roof suffered damage from debris, but he was able to hold on following the final restart just 10 laps from the finish.
There were 12 lead changes among nine drivers and five cautions for 31 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 114.331mph.

John Hunter Nemechek won the 18th Annual North Carolina Education Lottery 200, his ninth victory in 112 Camping World Truck Series races.
This is his third victory and eighth top-10 finish in 2021.

Carson Hocevar # (second) posted his first top-10 finish in his series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway. It is his fourth top-10 finish in 2021.

#38-Todd Gilliland will start from the Cometic Gasket pole for the NC Education Lottery 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway due to weather. NASCAR made the call to cancel qualifying for Friday night’s race after rain moved through the area. 40 trucks initially entered the event, but two withdrew, leaving the remaining 38 trucks to make the field.
#2-Sheldon Creed will start second, followed by #16-Austin Hill, #4-John Hunter Nemechek, #99-Ben Rhodes, #21-Zane Smith, #26-Tyler Ankrum, #9-Grant Enfinger, #42-Carson Hocevar, #88-Matt Crafton in the top-10.

Notes: #25-Timothy Peters, #4-John Hunter Nemechek,#33-Okinori Ogata, #51-Drew Dollar, #30-Danny Bohn, #3-Keith McGee, #34-CJ McLaughlin had troubles in practice. Peters cut a tire and hit the wall early. His team pulled out the backup. #51-Dollar also went to a backup after heavy contact with the wall. #33-Ogata’s team does not have a backup. They are attempting to repair the truck in time for qualifying.

Pitstall Selections

There will be one practice session and a qualifying session for the NC Education Lottery 200.
36 drivers will make the field.
Qualifying will be based on one timed lap. The top 20 qualifying owners from the previous race that are present at the current race will be the final 20 positions in the qualifying order based on the random draw. The balance of the field will draw for the first qualifying positions.
