Nick Sanchez triumphs at Charlotte for second NASCAR Truck Series win: Nick Sanchez showed what an opportunist can do when the right moment presents itself. Taking advantage of fresh tires and a quick pit stop, Sanchez charged from the 10th position on a restart with nine laps left in Friday night’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Charlotte Motor Speedway and held off Corey Heim to win his second NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race of the season — and of his career.(Read More)(5-24-2024)

#2-Nick Sanchez drove into the lead following a late race restart and won the NC Education Lottery 200 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway Friday evening. The win was his second of the season, first at Charlotte, and the second Truck Series win of his career.
With the win, #2-Sanchez pocketed an additional $50,000 for winning the first of three races included in the Triple Truck Challenge. The Rev Racing win provided truck chief Chris Showalter a trip to victory lane on his birthday, also marked as the date of his 700th series start. Showalter has been at every race in the series history, dating back to the inaugural event at Phoenix in 1995.
#11- Corey Heim was the man to beat throughout the night, leading 72 of the 134 laps and sweeping the opening stages. Issues on pitroad dropped him in the running order causing him to regain the lost track position. The last pitstop of the night with less than 10 laps remaining, led to a disqualification. Heim initially was credited with finishing second, but in post race inspection, his #11 Toyota was found to have three lug nuts not secure.
#52-Stewart Friesen finished second, his highest showing to date this season. #9-Grant Enfinger, #42-Matt Mills, #99-Ben Rhodes, #13-Jake Garcia, #45-Kaden Honeycutt, #7-Connor Mosack, #5-Dean Thompson, and #19-Christian Eckes were the top-10.
#15-Tanner Gray won the ARCA race earlier in the day and started from the pole. He led 11 laps and finished 17th.
There were eight lead changes among five drivers and five cautions for 31 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 114.132mph.
