Austin Hill breaks Xfinity Series superspeedway wins record at Talladega: Richard Childress Racing’s Austin Hill prevailed in a three-wide photo finish in the Ag-Pro 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega (Ala.) Battling for the win in Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 Xfinity Series race at Talladega Superspeedway, #2-Jesse Love slammed into the rear of #88-Connor Zilisch who spun into the inside wall. When the yellow flag flew, #21-Austin Hill was scored barely ahead of #27-Jeb Burton for the victory. This is Hill’s third victory in the opening 11 races of the season, and now holds the record for most superspeedway wins in series history with nine.
#27-Burton finished second, scoring his first top five finish since winning at Talladega two years ago. #2-Love led a race-high 50 laps from the pole and finished third. #7-Justin Allgaier placed fourth with #99-Matt DiBenedetto scoring Viking Motorsports’ first top-five finish in fifth.
#42-Anthony Alfredo charged to sixth after being a lap down earlier in the race. #31-Blaine Perkins, #25-Jeb Burton, #00-Sheldon Creed and #10-Daniel Dye completed the top 10. #88-Zilisch is credited with a 27th-place result after leading at the white-flag lap.
Richard Childress Racing swept all three stages, with #2-Love earning his first stage victory of the season in Stage 1. #21-Hill took Stage 2.
There were 26 lead changes among 15 drivers and five cautions for 23 yellow flag laps.
The average speed of the race was: 138.180 mph.

Lap 112: #2-Love turns #88-Zilisch on the final lap. #21-Hill is declared the race winner.
Lap 111: #88-Zilisch and #7-Allgaier are side-by-side for the lead. #2-Love and #21-Hill made power moves to get back in the mix.
Lap 108: #88-Zilisch clears the field with #7-Allgaier and #99-DiBenedetto behind on the bottom. #48-Sanchez leads the middle lane with #2-Love in the outside.

Lap 1: #2-Love leads the opening lap, with #21-Hill filing in behind in second. The top lane, led by #54-Gray, dropped back.

With weather moving Xfinity Series qualifying to just one round, #2-Jesse Love won the pole (182.240 mph) for Saturday’s Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway. It’s his seventh career pole, with six of those coming at superspeedways. Love becomes the first driver in series history to have poles in four straight races at drafting tracks.
Richard Childress Racing swept the front row, as #21-Austin Hill earned his sixth straight front row start at Talladega (181.591 mph). #7-Justin Allgaier will take the green flag from third (180.946 mph), with #53-Joey Gase (180.891 mph) and #27-Jeb Burton (180.884 mph) rounding out the top five.
#54-Taylor Gray, #11-Josh Williams, #10-Daniel Dye, #71-Ryan Ellis and #51-Jeremy Clements complete the top 10.
