Second round qualifying was rained out, field is set based on yesterday’s qualifying which means the #’s 23(Spencer), 22(W Burton), 81(K Wallace), 9(Speed) and #2(Rusty Wallace-champions) had to use provisional’s to make the DeVilbiss 400 at Michigan. 43 of the 44 cars that attempted to make the race are in, the lone driver to go home was #71 Dave Marcis, the driver with the most miles completed at Michigan in the history of the track(8-16-97)
