AJ Foyt’s car will be green with the #14, the number Foyt made famous as an Indy-car. Foyt said he’s talked to a couple of drivers. Kenny Irwin, who leaves Robert Yates Racing after this season, said he has talked with Foyt. The car owner is looking for a particular type of driver. Foyt said he was interested in purchasing Ricky Rudd’s team but couldn’t wait for Rudd to decide what to do. Rudd has set a Sept. 15 deadline on finding a sponsor. If he doesn’t find a sponsor by that date, he will allow his employees to look elsewhere for other jobs.
