Powers Motorsports a North georgia based team has teamed up with Richardson Automotive and S.B.G. Global Enterprises to form a new CTS team for the 2000 season. Team owner Tom Powers will handle the driving duties while Bill Richardson will handle the mechanic duties. The team is presently seeking sponsorship for a full run at the 2000 Rookie of the Year. The Dodge truck will be #5, a number which Powers has run for the past few years in the P.A.R.T.S. Series, a spin off of the CTS. The team will be based out of the Clayton Georgia area. The team will start off at Louisville and with additional sponsorship will try to qualify for the California race. Team owner Tom Powers is now talking to potential sponsors to assist in the teams foray into the series this year.
