Vegas Testing:

Seven-time NASCAR Winston Cup champion Dale Earnhardt will return to the driver’s seat for the first time since December back surgery by heading a list of 36 drivers from the CUP and BGN series who have scheduled testing times Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Eighteen Cup teams are scheduled to test and 18 BGN Series teams are scheduled to test. Each team will test for two of the three days. The following teams are scheduled to test for the CarsDirect.com 400: Earnhardt(#3), Terry Labonte(#5), Stacy Compton(#9), Jeremy Mayfield(#12), Robby Gordon(#13), Derrike Cope(#15), Matt Kenseth(#17), Jeff Gordon(#24), Jeff Fuller(#27), Ricky Carven(#50), Wally Dallenbach Jr.(#75), Chad Little(#97), Bobby Hamilton(#4), Michael Waltrip(#7), Dale Earnhardt Jr.(#8), Scott Pruett(#32), Sterling Marlin(#40), Kenny Irwin(#42) and Robert Pressley(#77). BGN drivers scheduled to test are Kevin Harvick(#2), Mike Dillon(#21), Casey Atwood(#27), Kevin Grubb(#37), Jay Sauter(#43), Gus Wasson(#96), Jason Jarrett(#11), Bobby Hillin Jr.(#8), Jason Leffler(#18), Mike McLaughlin(#48), David Green(#34), Tim Fedewa(#36), Hermie Sadler(#30), Todd Bodine(#66), Anthony Lazzaro(#97) and two cars from SABCO Racing, which has not announced drivers.
