An official announcement about Wallace’s new team is expected Friday. Eel River Racing, owned by Jack Birmingham, may also undergo several changes as crew chief(and part owner) Barry Dodson said last week the team may change manufacturers in 2001(That’s Racin’)(8-31-2000) UPDATE 4: ESPN2’s RPM 2Night reports that the #27 Eel River Racing Team will stay with Pontiacs in 2001 with Kenny Wallace as the driver, it had been rumored that the team was possibly switching to Ford(9-18-2000)
