hearing Casey Mears, Indy 500 Legend Rick Mear’s nephew, tested for the #01 BellSouth/Chip Ganassi Racing team recently at Lakeland, FL and is under consideration for that ride. Mears ran in the CART finale this past season UPDATE: hearing the Mears test was for a limited ARCA ride in 2000 with Ganassi(12-19-2000) UPDATE 2: actually hearing that Mears has not tested yet but will on Thursday and Friday, Dec 21st and 22nd(12-20-2000)
