Pruett gets a gig: Corvette Racing announced that driver Scott Pruett would replace Chris Kneifel who leaves to take up new duties as Chief Steward of CART immediately following the Superflo 12 Hours of Sebring, March 17th. Pruett, 41, will join the two-car Corvette C5-R team immediately following the Sebring, race when the team will conduct two days of testing March 19 – 20. The team will then travel to France for the open test day on May 6th to further prepare for the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 16th and 17th(Daytona Beach News Journal – Speed Magazine). Pruett was in Cup in 2000 with PPI Motorsports in the #32 Tide Ford and currently does commentary on ESPN2’s RPM 2Night(3-14-2001) (3-13-2001)
