Crew Chief Bob Hayden was released Wednesday from his responsibilities with the #6 Joe Bessey Motorsports team. The owner had tried to keep his operation, which at the end of last year consisted of NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series teams, running but it seems as though lack of sponsorship is going to finally close up its shop. “They’re going to liquidate the Cup stuff and keep the Busch stuff for another month or so,” said Hayden, who said he could see the end coming when he Bessey failed to get together for a planned meeting after the team’s outing at New Hampshire.
