#22 Tests with a Pontiac Engine: During a recent test session at Richmond, Ward Burton and his Bill Davis Racing team decided to stick a Pontiac (Chevy engine, different heads) engine in their Dodge to help figure out why the team has been struggling. The team ran Pontiacs until switching to Dodge for this season. “We (ran) back-to-back some engine stuff, comparing what we had last year to this year just to see if we could get back to where we needed to be,” crew chief Tommy Baldwin said. “We wanted to try out all our variations that we changed from last year to this year.
