Bodine to Honor Victims: Two entries in this weekend’s events at Lowe’s Motor Speedway will display the website address for The New York Police & Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund. The #11 Ralphs/Wells Fargo Financial Ford, owned and driven Brett Bodine, and the #6 Ford, owned by Brett Bodine Racing and driven by Brett’s nephew, Josh Richeson, in this weekend’s BGN race, will both carry the website address for this non-profit organization for the families of fallen New York City firefighters and police officers. The Fund provides funding at the time of a death to assist with immediate expenses. In addition, the benefit fund distributes an annual check to each of the surviving families. “This is such a tragedy! With so many of us here at BBR, myself included, being from the New York area, this hit close to home. I think all of us want to do something to help and this is a great way to contribute.
