Debut of different #4 scheme at Talladega: Eastman Kodak Company’s newly wrapped NASCAR Winston Cup Series race car featuring new Kodak Perfect Touch processing, will race for the first time on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002 at the Talladega, AL NASCAR Race. Kodak Perfect Touch processing is a revolutionary new photofinishing service that individually scans and corrects each negative giving consumers pictures that reveal richer detail, fewer dark shadows and more vibrant color. The new paint scheme will hit the track for practice and qualifying on Friday, Oct. 4, 2002 with Mike Skinner piloting the entry. Traditionally, Kodak’s NASCAR design has focused on film. The last revamp — which occurred in 1986 — featuring Kodak Max film and was one of only a few throughout Kodak’s 17-year primary sponsorship of the #4 Chevrolet. The new design is in line with a company-wide priority to generate more prints of pictures and driving processing volumes for retail partners. Midwest retailers who have signed up for Kodak Perfect Touch processing have the option of integrating the Kodak Perfect Touch processing NASCAR in their in-store promotions including the opportunity to showcase the car on-site. Additional markets will have this option as the service rolls out regionally between October 2002 and July 2003. Kodak is the longest running, continuous primary sponsor in the NASCAR Winston Cup Series. Kodak began its relationship with Larry McClure and Morgan-McClure Motorsports 10 races into the 1985 season. Rick Wilson drove for team at the time.
