Kerry Earnhardt adds a Cup race: FitzBradshaw Racing will field the #83 RacingUSA.com Chevy in the Checker Auto Parts 500 at Phoenix on November 10, 2002. The car will be driven by Kerry Earnhardt. Earnhardt was originally slated to drive the #83 RacingUSA.com Chevy in the EA Sports 500 at Talladega, however inclement weather forced drivers to start the race by owner points. Talladega was FitzBradshaw’s first attempt in the Winston Cup Series and no owner points have been accumulated (they now have 22 ownerss points). The car’s paint scheme was designed by Sam Bass and will boast the number 83.. The number 8 represents Kerry’s grandfather Ralph, and the number 3 represents his father, Dale Sr. Earnhardt currently drives the #12 Chevy in the BGN. The RacingUSA.com decal will also be positioned on the C-Post of Earnhardt’ #83 Aarons Dream Machine this Sunday at the UAW-GM Quality 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
